Vacation pics...

...are finally here! I really made it to upload some of the pics I shot in Turkey. It was a great vacation and I reallz needed all the comfort, sun and relaxation... 

Theater in Side

We went to Side, the biggest city nearby, right in the first week. The weather wasn't too hot so we decided to give it a go. Unfortunately the weather changed and it got quite hot after all. So my grandma and my mum decided to have a rest in the shade and I went into the theater. It was just an amazing view and was in love with the architecture. I just imagined what it would have been like in the past and it was too much think of, so I just enjoyed the view and explored it a little.

Souvenir Shops everywhere - but look at the lamps!

After that we walked down the shopping road and explored all the different shops. It was so much fun because there was something different to explore in every corner. Just like these lamps in the back garden, small sitting ereas between the buildings or small Chinese lantern in the trees.

Walking down the shopping promenade you get to the sea and had a wonderful view in all directions. I saw that there was supposed to be a temple nearby in the map and so I decided to walk along the pier and suddenly I stood in front of the temple. I was surprised how close it was to the sea and that it can't be protected from it. And it is still in a great shape and you can walk around it and look at all the details. Just to touch the old material and feel the hard work that they had to put into building was just incredible.

The typical market...so big and so crowed!

Another day we went to one of the big and typical markets in Manavgat. It was just an experience that you can't simply describe but you had to see it. It was stuffed with people and sometimes you felt like you don't get enough air to breath. And then the food market was just incredible. Fruits and Vegetables were much bigger than you knew them from Germany, some you don't even know and others just looked odd and you thought they were from another planet... Great adventure however!

Watching turtles...

Walking along the beach, we found a group of people standing on a bridge (a river going from inland to the sea) and staring into the water and wondered what they were doing. We decided to look for ourselves and were totally surprised when I saw a turtle coming up to get some fresh air. So we stood there for like half an hour and were just amazed by this. Where did they come from? No idea. Why are they there? No clue. But it was just beautiful to watch.

Don't mind the weather, it was our last day of the vacation and it rained hard almost the whole day. However at some beautiful minutes you saw the sun coming out and there were some last great moments.
